Defender Dustin Scibilia of the men's soccer team has been named the Cal State San Marcos Male Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of August 2014. Scibilia, a senior from Escondido, scored two goals in the Cougars' season-opening 5-2 victory over San Diego Christian on August 27. His header in the 67th minute broke a 1-1 stalemate to put the Cougars ahead for good before he added CSUSM's final score in the 81st.
