Kate Bouvatte has been named the Cal State San Marcos Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of May 19-25, 2014. Bouvatte took home two All-America awards at the NAIA National Championships over the weekend in the 10,000m and 5,000m. On the first day of the competition, Bouvatte finished third with a time of 36:27.44 in the 10,000m final, earning six team points. Two days later, Bouvatte's time of 17:36.58 gave her a fourth-place finish in the 5,000m, food enough for five more points. In all, Bouvatte accounted for 11 of the Cougars' 18 points in the competition, helping CSUSM to a 16th-place finish at the event.
