Cal State San Marcos Athletics

Alex Miller of the No. 5 Cal State San Marcos softball team has been named the Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Apr. 14-20, 2014. Miller put together a monster week as the Cougars went 4-0 against A.I.I. foe Antelope Valley. For the week, Miller went 10-for-15 with 13 RBI, three doubles, four runs scored, a homerun and two stolen bases. In the season finale doubleheader against the Pioneers on Apr. 18, Miller went 6-for-8 with three doubles, a grand slam and eight RBI. Miller was also named the Co-Female Athlete of the Year at last week's Annual Student-Athlete Awards and Hall of Fame Celebration.
