Cal State San Marcos Athletics

Rich Montanez of the Cal State San Marcos baseball team has been named the CSUSM Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 14-20, 2014. Montanez helped the Cougars to a doubleheader split at No. 12 The Master's College last Wednesday, going a combined 5-for-7 with two doubles and a pair of RBI. In game two, Montanez put together a 4-for-4 day and singled home the eventual game-wining run in the top of the seventh inning. CSUSM has won 12 of its last 13 games.
