Alex Miller of the CSUSM baseball team has been named the Cal State San Marcos Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 7-13, 2014. Miller went 5-14 (.357) with two doubles over the week, breaking the CSUSM all-time record with her 256th career hit against Hope International-- an RBI single that tied the game in the fifth inning. The Cougars went on to sweep the Royals, pushing its season long win streak to 18 before falling to No. 1 Concordia. CSUSM is ranked No. 5 in the NAIA, thanks in large part to Miller, who ranks among the school's top-3 in career walks, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, runs, RBI, stolen bases, triples, and home runs. Her 68 career doubles are also a CSUSM record, and she stands 6th on the NAIA all-time doubles list.
