Maurice Strickland of the CSUSM men's track & field team has been named the CSUSM Male Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 17-23, 2014. Strickland ran a blazing time in the 110m hurdles at the Rossi Relays hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, recording a personal-best 14.30 to win the competition. His time would have been the fourth-fastest mark in all the NAIA last season.
