Melyssa Bellamy has been named the CSUSM Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of February 10-16. The sophomore shortstop went 4-for-5 with two homeruns in a doubleheader against No. 1 ranked and defending NAIA National Champions Concordia (Calif.). Bellamy, a product of Serrano High School in Phelan, Calif., has a triple-slash line of .486/.537/.784 in 42 plate appearances, and leads the No. 8 CSUSM softball team (10-2) in batting average, extra base hits (6), runs (12), and RBIs (13).
