De'End Parker of the No. 12 Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team has been named the CSUSM Male Student Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 25 - Dec. 1, 2013. Parker, a senior guard from San Francisco, helped the Cougars improve their record to a perfect 8-0 last week with a pair of wins over No. 6 Concordia (Calif.) and UC Merced. Parker scored 23 points on 7-of-15 shooting against CUI, adding five boards, four assists and a pair of steals in the upset. Against UC Merced, Parker was 5-of-8 for 16 points, hitting a pair of 3-pointers in the Cougars' record-breaking 106-42 victory. For the week, Parker was 12-of-23 (.521) from the field and 13-of-15 (.867) from the free-throw line.
