Steven Ing of the No. 10 Cal State San Marcos cross country team has been named the Cal State San Marcos Male Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 21-27, 2013. Ing, a sophomore from South Africa, won his first collegiate race at the Biola NAIA West Coast Jamboree with a time of 25:11.9, just one second off his personal-best. Ing has come into form, finishing first in team scoring while running consistently at 25:10-11 over the past three races. The Cougars won their second competition in a row, third on the year, and look to extend that steak on Nov. 9 at 9:00 a.m. as they host the A.I.I. Conference Championships at Mangrum Track & Field.
