Yuki Hata has been named the CSUSM Male Student-Athlete of the week of Oct. 7- 15, 2013. Hata led the Cougars with a pair of assists in their 2-0 win against the Bethesda Flames last Tuesday. Hata set up the first goal in the 25th minute by taking on a trio of defenders and placing a perfectly weighted cross to the feet of Eric Lopez to slot home six yards out. In the 89th minute, Hata played a through ball across the defense to Sullivan Tobin who chipped the goal keeper and capped off a well-deserved win for the Cougars.
