Taylor Coover of the No. 4 Cal State San Marcos women’s golf team has been named the CSUSM Co-Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 30- Oct. 6, 2013. Coover won her first collegiate title at the Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) Fall Invitational. She also led the Cougars to its first tournament title of the year and its second straight first-place trophy at the event. Coover finished with a three round total of 6-over-par 222 (73-73-75), one stroke ahead of ERAU’s Lauren Kruszewski 223. The Cougars (922, +58) finished 21 strokes ahead of runner-up Redlands with a total of 943.
