Junior forward Eric Lopez has been named the CSUSM Male Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 2-8, 2013. Lopez scored a goal in each of the Cougars' wins last week over Hope International (3-0) and Soka University (2-0). He also added an assist in the win over HIU. Lopez is tied for the team lead with six points (2 goals, 2 assists) through his team's first three games. The Cougars are off to a 3-0 start, their first 3-0 start since 2010, and travel to Salt Lake City to face Rocky Mountain and Wesminster this weekend.
