GULF SHORES, Ala. – Day one of the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships was suspended due to poor weather at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium on Thursday.
The competition will resume on Friday morning at 8 a.m. CDT with the women's 10,000m final, which will include
Kate Bouvatte and
Terra McGinnis. Bouvatte (34:41.07) has the fastest time in the NAIA this season.

Prior to the weather suspension,
Charlotte Kuzminsky and
Natalie Rodriguez qualified for Saturday's 1500m final. Kuzminsky (4:35.73) and Rodriguez (4:35.75) both ran personal-bests while finishing fifth and sixth respectively in their heat.
Jason Bandong (54.93) and
Damon Moore (57.87) both placed sixth in their respective 400-meter hurdles heats.
