ResultsSAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's golf team improved by ten strokes and moved up two slots to finish in seventh place in the Point Loma Fall Invite at Torrey Pines North Golf Course.

Vanessa Chap and
Christina Trujillo each shot 79 as the Cougars went from a first-round 328 to a 22-over-par 318 in the second.
Victoria Smith rounded out the scoring with an 81.
Sonoma State took home the team title at 19-0ver-par 611, 11 strokes ahead of runner-up Dallas Baptist. CSUSM (318-328-646, +54) was edged out for the top five by Point Loma (323-318-641, +49) and Chico State (322-323- 645, +53).
Trujillo (77-79) finished tied for 10
th at 8-over 156. Chap (84-79) and Smith (82-81) shared 33
rd at 15-over, while Coover tied for 43
rd (86-79-165, +17).
Gabriella Bautista, playing in her first collegiate tournament, went 84-85-169 to place 53
rd at 21-over.
The Cougars next action of the season is Sept. 29-30 at the Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) Fall Invite in Prescott, Ariz.
