RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Battling sickness and extreme heat, the No. 9 Cal State San Marcos men's cross country team placed 14th place at the UC Riverside Invitational Saturday morning.
Junior
Enrique Ramirez was CSUSM's top finisher, placing 40th with a time of 25:11.2. Junior
Michael Waltrip placed 77th (25:51.1) and sophomore
Chris Ceja finished in 96th place (26:05.4).
In the Open Race, freshman
Andrew Tellames finished fifth among 194 runners with a time of 26:03.3.
The Cougars are back in action next Saturday, Sept. 20 in The Master's Invite in Santa Clarita.
