IRVINE, Calif. – No. 18 Concordia (Calif.) scored a golden goal in the 95
th minute, as the No. 12 Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team fell to the Eagles in overtime 1-0 on Thursday afternoon.
Megan Daniels headed in Felicia Franco's free kick in the first overtime period to lift Concordia to 4-2 on the season.
CSUSM dropped to 3-2-1 on the year after going 0-1-1 this week. The Cougars tied Biola, 3-3, on Tuesday evening at home.
“We fought hard and played pretty well today, I was proud of the players' effort,” said CSUSM head coach
Ron Pulvers. “Concordia just made one more play than us and it made the difference in the game. We'll turn it around for next Tuesday.
The Cougars will face Biola Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 4:00 p.m. on the CSUSM Multipurpose Field.

Paulina Good led the team with two shots in her first career start. CSUSM placed five of its seven shots on frame.
