KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Shelby Bush of the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team was named to the NAIA All-America Honorable Mention Team, it was announced Monday.
Bush, a senior forward from Ramona, Calif., was also an honorable selection in 2011. She is one of three players to be named All-America for CSUSM and is just the second player with honors in multiple seasons.
Bush will leave CSUSM in second place in the school's all-time record book for goals (23), points (55) and game-winning goals (8). Her nine career assists our fourth-best all-time.
In 2011, Bush set single-season school records with 23 points and five game-winners. Her 10 goals last season tied her for the school record with
Lauren Johnson (2010).
She led the Cougars with 14 total points in 2012, scoring five goals and adding four assists. Bush was named to the All-Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) First Team on Nov. 16, the third all-conference distinction of her career.
