HOUSTON – 10 players of the Cal State San Marcos men's and women's soccer teams were honored by the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) for their play this season, the conference announced on Friday.
Six women and four men from head coach
Ron Pulvers' program were selected to the All-A.I.I. Conference Teams.
Shelby Bush,
Nicole Luna,
Amanda Sears,
Kaleigh Dodson and
Dani Porter were All-A.I.I. First Team honorees.
Erin Mulrooney was named to the Second Team.
On the men's side,
Erik Mueller and
Jake Kaiser earned All-A.I.I. First Team honors, while
Alex Brunsell and
Scott Rice were named to the Second Team.
The CSUSM women's team is currently in Portland preparing for its NAIA Opening Round match-up with eighth-seeded Concordia (Ore.). Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Cougar men recently wrapped up their season at the A.I.I. Tournament, finishing the season at 6-7-3 overall.
